Abbreviations are used quite often on PokéFarm Q by users. An abbreviation can help shorten the amount of space that is used in places like a Trainer Card. This is a list of commonly used abbreviations and acronyms.

Communication/Forums

- 1:1: One to One
- As in a ratio or, if used in the RP forums, can also mean "one on one" as in a private roleplay.
- AFAIK: As far as I know
- AFK: Away from Keyboard
- CAPS: Caps Lock
- DM: Direct Messages
- DNC: Do Not Contact
- If a user sends you a DNC request, they do not want you to send them PMs nor talk to them on the forums. Contacting the user deliberately after a user asks you not to is considered harassment and against the rules.

- F2U: Free to Use
- Commonly used in the art forums for use of free art.

- PFNew/PFN: The unreleased version of PokéFarm Q that’s still in development.
- PF1: The old PokéFarm, it was shut down on the 27th of October 2015.
- ORAS: Refers to the Pokémon games Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
- PLA/PL:A: Refers to the Pokémon game Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
- PMD: Refers to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games.

Abbreviations related to trading with other users. These are usually seen in the Trade Forums or in a user's Fields.
- AB: Auto-buy
- Allows a user to buy an item without having to worry that they will get out-bid.
- B: Buying
- Refers to an item/Pokémon the user wants in return.
- BOGO: Buy One, Get One
- Delta Prices: Pricing based on how many delta points the special yields.
- Dextrade: Temporary trades to get the PokéDex entry of a Pokémon.
- DP: Delta Points
- Fodder: Trade Fodder
- Normal Pokémon without value, that are used to trade items.
- FS: For Sale
- H: Have
- Refers to something the user has.
- LF: Looking For
- Refers to an item/Pokémon the user wants in return.
- NFT: Not for Trade or Never for Trade.
- NUFT - Not up for Trade/Never up for Trade.
- NFT and NUFT refer to something the user doesn't want to trade.
- O: Offering
- Refers to something the user is offering.
- PWYW - Pay What You Want
- Price is set by the customer.
- RTE: Ready to evolve
- Can be used when trading ready to evolve Pokémon for evolutions for Gemwish badges.
- SB/MB: Starting Bid/Minimum Bid
- The minimum bid for an auction.
- UFDT- Up For Dextrade
- Pokémon that are available for dextrades.
- UFS: Up for Sale
- Refers to something the user is offering for sale.
- UFT: Up for Trade
- Refers to something the user is offering for trade.
- WTB: Want to Buy
- Refers to an item/Pokémon the user wants in return.
Miscellaneous
- AI: Artificial Intelligence
- Usually used for AI-generated content which is banned.
- Please read the AI Art on PFQ.
- EHP: Egg Hatching Points
- Outdated term for EXP of an Egg.
- EXP: Experience Points
- LMB/RMB: Left Mouse Button/Right Mouse Button
- LMB: Left click, default clicking button.
- RMB: Right click
- MCW: Mass-Click Weekend
- Clicking event at the end of every month.
- OT: Original Trainer
- The trainer who originally hatched/adopted a Pokémon. This is used for the compatibility of a breeding pair.
- QOL/QoL: Quality of Life
- QoL is a Userscript with a variety of quality-of-life tweaks and adjustments.
- RNG: Random Number Generator
- Is used when the outcome of something is determined by random chance.
- S&S/SS/S+S: Sorted and stacked
- Refers to the fields. It's when a field only has one type of Berry preference and all the Pokémon are stacked in one place for easier clicking.
