What are Boxes?
Boxes are a major aspect of the game and have important impacts in the in-game economy. Boxes are items that can be opened via the Boxes section under Tools section of the Tools/Options page in-game. Boxes may contain either an item or currency, or even nothing at all. Boxes are obtained from Scour Areas.
What can be found in Boxes?
Boxes, as stated previously, can hold any assortment of items or currencies. The following have been known to show up in Boxes:
- Gold Poké
- Credits
- Summon Items
- Most Event Items[1]
- Evolution Items/Special Evolution Items
- Treasure
- Forme-Change Items
- Berries
- Mega Stones
- Nothing
Summon Items
Summon Items are only available in boxes, after unlocking them.
<spoiler show="Show further information on receiving Summon Items from boxes" Hide="Hide further information> Summon Items can only be obtained by opening boxes and only unlocked Summon Items have a chance of appearing inside a box. The chances of getting a Summon Item are relatively high, in retrospective the chance of getting a Summon Item that was already obtained by opening a box is very small.
So after unlocking a new Summon Item the chance of getting it by opening only a few boxes is very high. If the Summon Item has been obtained and no further Summon Items are unlocked, then the chance of getting the same Summon Item a second time is very low. This is not affected by Summon Items that were obtained by trading with another user. </spoiler>
Special Boxes
In addition to standard Boxes, there are also two types of special Boxes: a Premium Box and a Lucky Seal.
- Premium Boxes - A Premium Box is similar to a Box but guarantees at least one valuable item. May contain multiple items.
- Lucky Seal - A Lucky Seal is an item that can be stuck onto a Box. This guarantees a Summon Item, but it can only be a Summon Item that the user opening the Box has unlocked.
Bawkzes
There are 3 new boxes that have been introduced in the Black Market. These three "bawkzes" contain further boxes and include:
- The Box Box: a box that contains 21 boxes. It costs 400 Zophan Canisters.
- The Box Box Box: a box that contains 6 Box Boxes (126 boxes total). It costs 2,000 Zophan Canisters.
- Ledah's Bawkz: a box that contains 5 Box Box Boxes (630 boxes total). It costs 8,000 Zophan Canisters.
Box Types
All boxes have the same description: "A treasure box that is sealed tight. Its contents are a mystery!"

Trivia
- Attempting to open a Treasure Box without having any of them (by clicking on the empty table) will produce a prompt about "opening your null".
