The Shelter is a location where users may adopt Pokémon that have been released by their previous owner, or take Eggs which have been released from the DayCare. Users may access the Shelter any time from the NavBar.

Note: Releasing a Pokémon will not affect a user's PokeDex.

Information

The Shelter page with some upgrades.

On the right side of the page, information about the current day in relation to the shelter is displayed. From top to bottom, they are:

  • Adoptions made: Displays how many adoptions the user made that day.
  • Current Shelter Pass: Displays the highest pass the player owns, and how many adoptions it allows for.
  • Adoptions remaining: Number of adoptions the user has remaining for the current day. If Shazi's Counter is active, the counter's multiplier will display, as well as the new adoption limit.

The Shelter updates its contents every 15 minutes, at :04, :19, :34, and :49. The Shelter closes at Server Reset to perform its first update and remains closed until 00:05 server time.

Upgrades

Shelter Upgrades.

There are several Shelter Upgrades available for Gold Poké (GP) or Zophan Canisters (ZC) located on the Shelter page.

Shelter Passes

Shelter Passes allow users to adopt Pokémon and Eggs from the Shelter. There are currently six levels: C, B, A, S, X and ★. A Shelter Pass C is given to the user after completing the tutorial and each further level grants more adoptions per day. Only the next highest pass can be purchased from the Shelter. Users must have the previous Shelter Pass in their inventory to be able to purchase the next Shelter Pass from the Shelter. E.G. If a user has a Shelter Pass C they can buy Shelter Pass B but cannot buy Shelter Pass A without first owning Shelter Pass B. However, any pass can be purchased from other players on the Market or through Trade. Users can use any pass that they have even if they have not unlocked it. Unlocking a Shelter Pass allows the user to buy the pass through the Shelter.

Only the highest pass counts for adoptions. The amount of adoptions does not stack when owning multiple passes.

Shelter Pass Level Adoptions Limit Cost Unlocked After
Shelter Pass C 6 - Tutorial
Shelter Pass B 14 40 20 adoptions
Shelter Pass A 24 200 100 adoptions
Shelter Pass S 36 800 400 adoptions
Shelter Pass X 85 2,400 1,200 adoptions
Shelter Pass ★ 127 1,000 2,500 adoptions

Flutes

The Black Flute repels Pokémon, causing the next shelter page to contain only eggs, and the White Flute attracts Pokémon, causing the next shelter page to contain only hatched Pokémon. Both Flutes are permanent and can be purchased for 500 each. Additional flutes may be purchased, but do not provide extra bonuses.

Shelter Boost

When chaining a Pokémon, a hidden Shelter boost applies. Each time a user reloads the shelter, there is a chance that one of the eggs is replaced with an egg that they're hunting, if it exists. This boost starts at chain 1 and caps at chain 100, with a boost of 50%.

Trivia

  • Before the 2nd of April 2017, Pokémon would run away to the Shelter when their happiness reached 0.
  • The shelter team hatches Pokémon Eggs after 2 days.
    • There are times when users can adopt a ready-to-hatch egg if the egg is adopted at exactly the same time as the shelter team would have hatched the egg.
  • Eggs keep their EHP progress even if they're released from a user's party.
    • This will be reflected in the Egg's Popup Summary.
  • Released Pokémon stay in the shelter for 4-5 days before they get deleted.
  • Account locked Pokémon are permanently released and cannot be re-adopted by other users.
