Eggs are the first stage of life that all Pokémon start as. The process of raising a Pokémon begins with the egg; up until it hatches, not much can be done with it. They are arguably the core of PokéFarm, with the site being based around hatching Pokémon Eggs. Every basic stage Pokémon hatches from a unique egg. For Pokémon that can breed with incenses, an additional egg was added in the update that was released on the 21st of January 2015.

On the 9th of November 2016, Tazzay, a member of the Graphics Team, updated the egg sprites with newer ones.

Obtaining an Egg

The Lab, the Shelter, the Egg Supplier, or the DayCare are the user's options for where to get them. Users may adopt as many Eggs from the Lab as they desire. For the DayCare, the user must breed two compatible Pokémon for any potential eggs, though only six can be taken per day without DayCare Passes, and for the Shelter, the user has a limited number of Pokémon or Eggs they can take per day (depending on which Shelter Pass is in their possession). After a user hatches an egg for the first time, its EggDex is unlocked and the Egg becomes available for purchase in the Egg Supplier.

The number of Eggs a pair produces, if any, depends on a number of factors that are similar to those in the main Pokémon games. Eggs can only be produced by parents who are compatible, which can be done by pairing up two members of the same species or two members of the same egg group. Detailed information on this can be found on Bulbapedia. In addition, a Ditto Egg can only be discovered within the Lab or ordered from the Egg Supplier and Ditto cannot breed with other Ditto.

Note: Eggs are NOT tradeable.

Hatching an Egg

Certain Eggs hatch faster than others. Common Pokémon like Pichu and Magikarp only require a small number of interactions, while rare or legendary Eggs such as Xerneas or Moltres require a lot more to hatch. Hatch points are earned when the Eggs are clicked. The EXP an egg receives off of any advantageous bonus days and without a V boost is 50 for a regular user and 70 for a user with an active Hypermode. Once an egg has enough interactions it is able to hatch, which can be done via its Summary Page or the user's Party.

For the exact amount of needed clicks please view Interactions.
