The DayCare is a place run by Professor Laurel where you can breed Pokémon and have them be leveled up. You can access the DayCare through the NavBar.

There are four different tabs that you can view: About the DayCare, Your Pokémon, Eggs and Upgrades.

About the DayCare

The DayCare is a place where you may leave Pokémon to be raised in the care of Professor Laurel. With the assistance of his Grotle, he will help your Pokémon grow steadily.

You may leave up to two Pokémon here at a time. If the two Pokémon are compatible for Breeding, they may appear with Eggs!

If this happens, Prof. Laurel will hold them for you. You may adopt a single Egg per day from the DayCare. Any Eggs left here will be released to the Shelter at the end of the day for someone else to adopt.

Your Pokémon

The DayCare page as it displays upon first visit.

This tab displays which Pokémon are currently in the DayCare. You can leave up to two Pokémon behind for Prof. Laurel to take care of. If the two Pokémon are compatible with each other, then they are capable of Breeding. Their compatibility is based on factors such as height difference, weight difference, or type difference.[1] The sentence beneath the two Pokémon gives a hint on how compatible they are.

Sentence Compatibility
The Pokémon are not compatible for breeding. 0%
The Pokémon seem to prefer being with others. 40-49%
The Pokémon get along reasonably well. 50-69%
The Pokémon are very friendly toward each other. 70-79%

By default, the DayCare will only show compatible Pokémon for Breeding when you try to leave a second Pokémon. If you want to just add another Pokémon with no intention of Breeding, toggle the closed eye symbol next to the page title to have all of your Pokémon displayed.

Note: Pokémon in the DayCare will still show up in your Party/Fields and can be interacted with.

Eggs

Eggs that were bred can be viewed here. A normal user may take one Egg a day, in Hypermode an additional Egg may be taken. The remaining Eggs are sent to the Shelter when you visit your DayCare for the first time on a new day. Depending on the Compatibility Eggs have a chance to be bred for every 64 Interactions you make, similar to steps generating Eggs in the main series Pokémon games.

Upgrades

DayCare Upgrades can be purchased with Gold Poké (GP).

  • SpyGlass: A tool that will reveal the specific image of an Egg. It comes in handy when you're breeding with two different Pokémon species. Can be bought for 20 GP.
  • Red Gigaremo: A tool that can force your Pokémon to be more compatible with each other while lowering their happiness. It will not work on couples that aren't compatible in the first place. The Red Gigaremo can be used any time for a one-time purchase of 2,000 GP.
Warning: If either one of the Pokémon in the couple runs away, the other will also run away.
  • Matchup Checker: A small tool that shows you exactly how compatible your Pokémon are for a one-time buy of 100 GP. Once bought, a percentage will show up next to the couple's compatibility sentence.
  • DayCare Pass: This allows you to take an extra Egg in addition to the daily one. Each Pass costs 20 GP and can only be used once. You also have the option to by Passes in bulk, at a discount, in sets of 10 (for the price of 9) or 60 (for the price of 50).
  • DayCare EXP Booster: Increases the amount of EXP gained by Pokémon while in the DayCare by 25%. You can stack up to five Boosters to get the maximum advantage out of them. Can be bought for 300 GP.
