The Flarbat Line encompasses Flarbat, Flarotis, and Flaroptera, which were released on the 20th of May 2017, and are Exclusive Pokémon.
Obtaining
Flarbat can be obtained by trading with other users, breeding with a member of the Flarbat Line, or from the Tournament Shop.
Flarbat Eggs can be bought from the Tournament Shop using Tournament Tokens. After the first egg is purchased, additional eggs can be purchased for 80 Gold Poké. They currently cost 1 Jasper Token to unlock.
Event
The Flarbat Line was one of 4 Exclusive Pokémon lines to be added in Season 4 of the Weekly Tournaments.

Flarbat
Flarbat hiccups balls of fire when excited. If it fails to, the smoke on its tail gets larger and makes it hard for those around it to breathe.
Name origin: A combination of flare and bat.
Flarotis
Flarotis tucks its wings in to pass off as a cape. It is known to charm other Pokémon with an elaborate fire display.
Name origin: A combination of flare and myotis, a genus of bats.
Flaroptera
Flaroptera has high standards and will only choose Trainers who are kind to others. When it accepts a Trainer, it will protect them at all costs.
Name origin: A combination of flare and Chiroptera, an order of bat species.
Trivia
- Flarbat was the first Exclusive Starter Pokémon to be released.
- Flarbat's design is off a Mouse-Eared Bat, a common bat.[1]
- Flarotis is based on Greater Mouse-Earred Bats.
- Flaroptera is based on a Megabat, more specifically a Giant Golden-Crowned Flying Fox, which is the largest known species of bat.
