Koroku was released as part of the New Years 2015 event on the 1st of January 2015 and is a Variant Pokémon.
Obtaining
Koroku can be obtained by trading with other users, by breeding with a member of the Koroku Line, or by breeding a Kantonian or Alolan Vulpix with a Kantonian or Galarian Articuno.
- Note: It MUST be a Vulpix, not a Ninetales. Breeding a Vulpix and an Articuno will have a higher chance at producing an egg than breeding two Koroku together.
Event
Koroku was one of 15 Exclusive Pokémon lines to be added in the New Years 2015 event.[1]

Trivia
- Koroku was originally featured on PokéFarm 1.
- Koroku was originally called Rokon prior to its re-release on PFQ.
- This is due to the original design being based on the PokéSona of an old admin named Rokon.
- Koroku is the first Exclusive Pokémon to receive a Mega Evolution.
- Prior to its re-release on PFQ, Koroku did not have a Mega Evolution.
- Though Kyukori's name origin calls from Ninetales, it is not considered to be a variant of Ninetales, since it's a Mega Evolution.
- The Koroku and Super Saiyan lines are the only two Pokémon lines in the game which have mega evolutions with different names from the Pokémon they evolved from.
- When breeding[2]:
- Two Koroku only have a 1% chance of producing another Koroku.
- Vulpix and Articuno will have a compatibility of around 4%.
