Koroku was released as part of the New Years 2015 event on the 1st January 2015 and is an Exclusive Pokémon.

Obtaining

Koroku can be obtained by trading with other users, or by breeding a Vulpix with an Articuno.

Event

Koroku was one of 15 Exclusive Pokémon lines to be added in the New Years 2015 event.

Name origin: A combination of Kyukon, the Japanese word for Ninetales, and kori, meaning ice.

Trivia

  • Koroku was originally called Rokon prior to its re-release on PFQ.
    • This is due to the original design being based on the PokéSona of an old admin named Rokon.
  • Though Kyukori's name origin calls from Ninetales, it is not considered to be a variant of Ninetales, since it's a Mega Evolution.
  • Koroku is the first Exclusive Pokémon to receive a Mega Evolution.
