Image Uploader

The on-site image uploader.

The Image Uploader page is available through the forum tab of the Tools/Options and in the Other Links. Users can use it to upload images.

About

The “About” section gives the user information about the on-site uploader and tells them how much space they have to upload images. Along with that, it tells them about Hypermode's benefits.

Files

• Create Folder: Allows a user to create Folders. Folders can be create inside other folders.
• Rename: Users can rename images that they uploaded. They can only rename one file at a time.
  • Users can change the filename extension here.
    • .png, .gif, .jpg

Note: Users must put a filename extension after the name they choose for the file.

• Move: Users can move images that they have uploaded to another folder. They can move more than one at a time.
• Delete: Users can delete images that they have uploaded to create space for new images. They can delete more than one at a time.
  • As of January 31, 2018, if a user wants to delete folders instead of files, this button will be replaced by "Delete folder." Folders must be empty before they can be deleted.
• Usage: This shows the user how much data they have used up uploading images. A normal user has 10 MB, whereas a Hypermode user gets 100 MB.

Upload

• Supported extensions: Users can upload PNG, GIF, and JPG, which are standard image extensions. If they have an image that is a different extension, they should try using a conversion site to get the right extension. Each file may not be larger than 4MB.
• Choose Files: Users click on this button first and choose the file they want to upload.
• Upload: After choosing the file users click this button to upload the file.

Trivia

• Before the 1^st of January 2023:
  • Users could not rename or move files.
  • The Uploader gave links that used the user's username instead of their internal user ID.
    • This meant that if a user changed their username any image links that they or other users were using would break.
