Pokémon Info
Egg
Klaatupillar
It carries its little book of spells everywhere. Despite struggling to pronounce incantations correctly, it tends to get rather upset with anyone mispronouncing its own name.
Name origin: A combination of Klaatu Barada Niktu and the word caterpillar.
Charaxalis
Passionate about its studies, it has cocooned itself with its book so it can continue learning while waiting for evolution.
Name origin: The fusion of Charaxes Jasius, the scientific name for the two-tailed pasha butterfly, and chrysalis.
Incantasius
When it casts a spell from its grimoire, the letter-like markings on its wings glow. The colour of the glow is the only hint as to what is coming when the chanting ends.
Name origin: A mix of the words Charaxes Jasius and incantation.
Trivia
- Klaatupillar is based on the idea of a "bookworm", a person very devoted to reading. The feet of Incantasius are ink pens. Its evolution goes from an apprentice still learning to a full-fledged scholar.
