The tournament is a weekly event that was added to Pokefarm on August 12, 2016.

Weekly Tournament Main Page

Users participate in events that are centered around various features on site, such as hatching eggs and scouring. Each event has three tasks that increase with difficulty. Each one cleared gives a higher reward at the end of the tournament. Tokens are awarded to those who complete these tasks, tokens can then be used for various prizes. Tokens are also tradable between users.

Current Tournament

Below is a breakdown of what can be found in this section on the main tournament page.

Seasons and events
Each event belongs to a season, this affects what is available in the shop and what tokens are given out as prizes. As there has only been one season so far, it is not yet known if tokens can be spent regardless of colour. The amount of tokens awarded at the end of the tournament is dependant on the task completed. So completing the easy task will award one token, completing the medium task will award three tokens and completing the hard task will award five. Target awards do not stack, so if you complete hard, you will only receive 5 tokens.

Tournament Schedule: Times listed go by Pokefarm's current server time.
08:00 Saturday - Sign-up opens, users can join here.
07:00 Monday - The event begins.
06:59 Saturday - The event closes, scores are counted.
08:00 Saturday - Prizes can be claimed from the tournament page.

The objective changes with each event, each event revolves around a site feature. From interacting to hatch and evolve Pokemon, to passive events like scouring.

Progress

Below is a breakdown of what can be found in this section on the main tournament page.

Target Progress

This is where your personal progress on the current event is displayed. Your current score/points are displayed above the event targets. When you complete a target, a tick will appear next to it.

The Leaderboard is the more competitive aspect of the tournaments. There are places for 50 users on the leaderboard. Getting onto the leaderboard requires you to have a higher score than the person in 50th place, scores continue to change during the tournament. When the tournament closes, the 50 users who are on the leaderboard (or more if there are users tied for 50th place) are awarded an exclusive egg, this egg changes with each event and one random egg given out is guaranteed to hatch as a variant.

Prize Shop

Below is a breakdown of what can be found in this section.

Tournament Shop

The Tournament Prize Shop can be found under your total amount of tokens, in the appropriately named, Tournament Tokens section. Here you can exchange tokens for prizes, the prizes include Pokemon and items. Fakemon can also be obtained from here. For the moment Fakemon only need tokens to be unlocked. However it has been confirmed by Niet that season two Fakemon will have unlocking requirements. Proof of this can found here. Shop prices have also been changed to reflect the fact tokens can be traded.

Currently, Milotic and Sylveon can be obtained from the Prize shop, they are otherwise unobtainable as their evolution methods have yet to be programed in.

The shop is structured in an accordion, as such clicking on the titles like 'Season 1 Fakemon' will open that part of the shop. The first section has Fakemon, these can be unlocked with Tokens and then additional eggs can be purchased with GP. The second section has Miscellaneous Prizes like Mega Stones and Forme Changers. Milotic and Sylveon can be found here, along with the Pokemon egg of XD001, as they are not Fakemon or PFQ exclusive.

Tokens

Tokens are used as a currency in the prize shop, which can be found mentioned above. They are normally obtained by participating in the tournament but they can also be obtained by trading. They currently serve no other purpose.

Tokens change when a tournament season changes, this will also affect what prizes can be bought and possibly what can be bought with each coloured token. This cannot be fully confirmed until the first season is over and the changes have been made.

Below is a table of Seasons, the tokens awarded and how many events took place in the season.
