Interacting with Pokemon in a user's field will also count towards the task.

To check if a Pokemon likes a berry, the box around a Pokemon will be green and the Pokemon will be jumping up and down.

-Did you know that you can also interact with the Pokémon in a user's fields? Just go to the fields of a user (or your own!) and click either a berry at the bottom or use the keys 1 to 5 to select a berry. Then you can feed the Pokémon by clicking it.
