I've been playing around and unless it's something that I didn't take into account - it has to be the female holding the meteorite mega evolution stone item :3. That's how to get it. I tried with male holding it and ditto but no go. Just happened for me when the female held it. Tested with Breloom, not with shroomish - can only assume shroomish too.
