PokéRus, as the name implies, is a virus for Pokémon. However, on Pokéfarm, it infects a single user at a time for 15 minutes. When a player is infected, their received experience will be doubled.[1]

Every 15 minutes, Pokérus will transfer hosts. The new recipient is a matter of chance based on how many interactions one has performed on the previous user on the current day, server time.

In order for people to be unable to obtain Pokérus too often, hosts are immune to Pokérus for one hour after it expires.

There are two ways to go to the current host's page: via a link in the top left corner of every page, next to the Clickback link, or using the Alt-P shortcut. While infected, hosts have a PKRS icon next to their username when on their userpage.

On the Statistics page, the 20 most recent hosts and the 20 users who have been hosts the most often are displayed.
