Pokémon is short for "Pocket Monsters," and are creatures that hatch from Eggs and inhabit the land of PokéFarm. Some can be bred and raised to evolve into more powerful forms. The PokéDex records all Pokémon encountered.

Overview

There are hundreds of Pokémon, with new ones being discovered periodically. Pokémon mainly come from the six Pokémon regions: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos. They can also be native to PokéFarm itself. Pokémon can belong to one or two of the 18 various elemental types: Normal, Water, Fire, Grass, Electric, Ice, Bug, Poison, Psychic, Dark, Ghost, Dragon, Rock, Ground, Fighting, Flying, Steel, and Fairy. These types determine which Field a Pokémon is happiest in.

To Obtain

Pokémon can be obtained in the following ways:

Categories

Pokémon may be in any of the following categories:

  • Legendary Pokémon are rare Pokémon that can only be obtained through summoning.
  • Basic Pokémon are Pokémon that hatch directly from Eggs.
  • Stage 1 Pokémon are Pokémon that have evolved once.
  • Stage 2 Pokémon are Pokémon that have evolved twice.
  • Final Pokémon are Pokémon that can no longer evolve.
  • Mega Forme Pokémon are Pokémon that have been Mega Evolved.
  • Exclusive Pokémon are Pokémon found exclusively on PokéFarm Q, typically through Events.
  • Starter Pokémon are the first Pokémon a new user can obtain.
  • Shiny Pokémon are rare colour variations of Pokémon.
  • Albino Pokémon are a different variation of coloured Pokémon, with a primarily white palette and red eyes.
  • Melanistic Pokémon are Pokémon that are Shiny and Albino at the same time, they have a primarily dark palette.

Shiny Pokémon

A Pokémon that has a different colour than a typical Pokémon of its species is classified as a "Shiny" Pokémon. This is denoted with a gold star next to the Pokémon's name. These Pokémon are considered extremely rare, and thus are considered to be very valuable. It is possible to hatch a Shiny Pokémon from an Egg completely at random. However, the odds of this happening are extremely low. There are methods to improve one's odds of hatching a Shiny Pokémon, such as use of a PokéRadar and Hypermode. Employment of these methods in search of a Shiny Pokémon is referred to as Shiny Hunting.

As the user gathers more and more Shiny Pokémon into their care, their ShinyDex will keep track of any and all Shiny Pokémon they meet, and mark the Pokémon in the user's PokéDex. The more the user completes the ShinyDex, the higher their associated Class will reach; from a blank class at 0, all the way to "SHINY" at full completion.

Comparison between Normal, Shiny, Albino and Melanistic Pokémon (from left to right).

Albino Pokémon

Albino Pokémon are Pokémon that are white in colour, or very pale. Albino Pokémon are denoted by a red star by their name, and are unique to PokéFarm Q. They can only be obtained by Albino Hunting, where it is necessary to possess an Albino Radar and to power it with Interaction Points. Therefore it is harder to obtain Albino Pokémon, which makes them rarer than Shiny Pokémon.

There is a PokéDex for Albino Pokémon, called the AlbiDex.

Melanistic Pokémon

Melanistic Pokémon are Pokémon that are primarily black in color with various highlights. Melanistic Pokémon are denoted by a black/green star by their name and are unique to PokéFarm Q. They can only be obtained when a Pokémon hatches as both Shiny and Albino, making them rarer and more valuable than regular shiny or Albino Pokémon.

There is a PokéDex for Melanistic Pokémon, called the MelanDex

Raising Pokémon

Pokémon can be raised by having other users interact with them by feeding them Berries to increase their EXP. Pokémon will gradually gain levels if interacted with enough, but can only reach a maximum level of 100. A Pokémon can only be interacted with once per day, per user. They can also be raised by sending them to Scour Missions or leaving them in the Daycare.

Things to do with Pokémon

Pokémon can be sent to many places to perform many tasks. Below is a table of various places and what Pokémon can do at them.
