The Lab is the first place that farmers will go when they join PokéFarm Q. It can be accessed from the NavBar at the top of any page.

Prof. Holly's Laboratory, more commonly known as the 'Lab', is the first place in which new members of the community of PokéFarm find themselves. After meeting with the esteemed professor the user will be offered their first Egg, which can be chosen from any one of the Starter Pokémon offered. After the user receives their first Egg, they will be given tasks from Prof. Holly to familiarise them with the game.

The Lab is an important location from which one can receive a constant supply of Eggs ranging from all regions of the Pokémon world. It should be noted that the Eggs one sees in the lab are exclusive to them only, meaning no one can steal an Egg displayed on the page before them. There is no adoption limit in the Lab.

Information Tabs

When in the Lab, four different tabs can be accessed, five if one is not logged in. The first three tabs contain information about the site and Laboratory, and a fourth about registration if one is not logged in, while the last is used to adopt Eggs (see below). The four information tabs are:

  • About PokéFarm: Explains a bit about the site, and provides a link to the forums. If not logged in, it includes a place to log in.
  • Characters you may meet: This contains biographies for all the main "staff" at PokéFarm. This includes, as of writing:
  • About the Laboratory: This explains a bit about the Laboratory.
  • Get started on the Farm!: This appears if a user is not logged in. It provides a registration area to sign up.

Adopting Eggs

When logged in, and with one or more open slots in the Party, clicking the final tab, "Adopt some Eggs", opens the adoption area.

When the tab is opened, it displays four Pokémon Eggs. These Eggs include a description and a sprite image. What is displayed for an Egg varies:

  • An Egg with a unique sprite has already been hatched by oneself.
  • An Egg with the standard design has not been hatched before, and is therefore unidentified.

When an Egg is picked, it is added to the user's party. The remaining Eggs are swapped with four new ones. If the user does not want to choose any of the viewed Eggs, they can reload and get a new batch. However, this requires waiting five minutes server-time, or the use of a Lab Reloader. If ones party is full, the adoption area will display no Eggs, only a message that states that ones party is full.
