This page explains Events and how to take place in them. Ongoing Events can be viewed on Current Events, a list on concluded Events is located on Past Events.

Events are special occurrences on-site that can include rewards like Items or special Pokémon. They have a set start and end date and cannot be performed after they ended. Events are usually announced in the Public Forums, but sometimes remain surprises to the user.

Possible Rewards

Not all Events have some kind of reward, but the following prizes may be distributed after an Event:

Events Page

Note: The Events page is still work-in-progress.

The Events page can be accessed through the Useful Links in the announcement box. Events that take place through the Events page are based on Interaction Points the user made during the Event. Earning more Interaction Points means a higher chance to get the next Event, getting to 1st Rank guarantees the Event. The reward of such Events is always an Egg to an Exclusive Pokémon.

The Events page shows following information on the ongoing Event:

  • Banked Interaction Points: These are Interaction Points from past Events. Once implemented they will be used to purchase Past Events.
  • Points for next Event: These are the Interaction Points that count for the current Event. They are reset once the Event ends and get transferred to the Banked Interaction Points.
  • Rank: This shows the current Rank of the user compared to how many user are currently ranked. Being 101st/2,000 means that the user is currently on Rank 101 while 2,000 user earned Interaction Points for this Event.
  • Next update: The information on the Events page is updated once every hour.

Receiving the Event

Events end 5 minutes past midnight, server time. Once the final rank is calculated the top 1,000 user receive a Personal Message telling them their result and their chance of getting the Event. The 1st Rank has a chance of 100% of getting the Event, with each lower Rank the chance sinks about 0.01%. So the user with the 2nd Rank has a chance of 99.99% while the 3rd Rank has a chance of 99.98%. The user at Rank 1,000 has still a chance of 0.01% of receiving the Event.

Banked Interaction Points

Note: This feature is currently not implemented.

After an Event is over all earned Interaction Points get banked. Banked Interaction Points can be used to purchase an Event after its release. This is only possible up to a month after the initial release, after this the Event cannot be brought with Banked Interaction Points. An Early Event Pass allows the user to access the Event right after its release, while Hypermode user can obtain it a week later. Normal user have to wait 2 weeks before they can purchase a released Event.

Events with special conditions

Events that take place without the Events page have usually special conditions that are either stated in the Event's Announcement or are left secret to the user. Following special Events took place in the past, a chronologic list with reward of each Event can be found on Past Events.

I set up you the bomb!

All Pokémon sprites were changed to one of Espurr in a bubble. Upon viewing a Pokémon's Summary Page, the owner's name would show up as CATS, one of the site's Non-Playable Characters.

The event is a reference to Zero Wing, a video game which has become infamous on the internet for its extremely bad translation. CATS' Trainer Card note, farm name, and Pokémon descriptions are all pieces of dialogue from the game's intro. His user description has a music player, which plays the game's intro theme.

Valentine's Day 2014

From February 14th to February 16th, users could obtain Sweet Hearts. However, they could not be purchased directly. Instead, users must gift them to each other. On the purchasing screen, a user was able to select a user to gift to, how many Sweet Hearts to send, and whether or not to send them anonymously. A message could also be attached. Each Sweet Heart cost 1,000 Credits to send, but they can also be paid for in 10 Zophan Canisters each.

The amount of Sweet Hearts bought was kept track of and the top 10 buyers received Heart Scales after the event.
