The DayCare is a place where you can breed Pokémon or leave them there to be levelled up. You can access the DayCare through the NavBar.

There are four different tabs that you can view: About the DayCare, Your Pokémon, Eggs and Upgrades.

About the DayCare

A short introduction of Prof. Laurel and his Grotle and some information about leaving your Pokémon at the DayCare.

Your Pokémon

The DayCare page showing a couple of Lairon.

This tab displays which Pokémon are currently in the DayCare. You can leave up to two Pokémon behind for Prof. Laurel to take care of. If the two Pokémon are compatible with each other, they can breed. Their compatibility is based on factors currently unknown, but is probably relatively the same to how it works in official Pokémon games. The sentence beneath the two Pokémon gives a hint on how well they are together. If you want to add a second Pokémon with the same gender as the first one, you'll have to click the closed eye symbol before you can select said Pokémon from your fields.
Note: Pokémon in the DayCare will still show up in your Party/Fields and can be interacted with.

Niet's Note: I don't plan on telling anyone what the compatibility conditions are. That's for me to know and you to research ;)

Eggs

Eggs can be viewed here. Users can take one Egg a day. The remaining Eggs are sent to the Shelter when you visit your DayCare for the first time on a new day. Eggs have a chance to be bred for every 64 interactions you make on yours or another user's Pokémon.

Upgrades

DayCare Upgrades are buyable with Gold Poké (GP).

  • SpyGlass: A tool that will reveal the specific image of an Egg. It comes in handy when you're breeding with two different Pokémon species. Can be bought for 20 GP.
  • Red Gigaremo: A tool that can force your Pokémon to be more compatible with each other while lowering their happiness. It will not work on couples that aren't compatible in the first place. The Red Gigaremo can be used any time for a one-time purchase of 2,000 GP.
Warning: If either one of the Pokémon in the couple runs away, the other will also run away.
  • Matchup Checker: A small tool that shows you exactly how compatible your Pokémon are for a one-time buy of 100 GP. Once bought, a percentage will show up next to the couple's compatibility sentence.
  • DayCare Pass: This allows you to take an extra Egg instead of the usual one. Each Pass costs 80 GP and can only be used once.
  • DayCare EXP Booster: Increases the amount of EXP gained by Pokémon while in the DayCare by 25%. You can stack up to five Boosters to get the maximum advantage out of them. Can be bought for 300 GP.
