Merging with DayCare?

Does Breeding really require an own page? It seems to me like it would be better as a part of the DayCare page. --Uzumi (talk) 22:44, 14 August 2014 (BST)

Personally, I think it's a great idea. The information on this page is starting to mimic the DayCare page, and I think it would be better if it was just on a single page. You have my total support on this. -signed, KingVesper (talk) 20:39, 21 August 2014 (BST)

I think Breeding needs it's own page, these things such as how well did the pokemon matches,Gigaremo, spy glass,255 step for an egg……ETC. The daycare page will be really stuffy if we don't separate the breeding page.

Well, here's how I see it: this page is currently made up of three sections: The Intro, "Compatibility" and "Upgrades". The "Upgrades" section does not belong on this page. The upgrades that are listed are upgrades for the DayCare, and should only be listed on the Daycare's page, so really, there are only two sections on this page. The "Compatibility" section is made up of three sentences, and can be easily incorporated to the Daycare's Your Pokémon section. The Intro contains useful information, and can become a separate section on the Daycare page, or split throughout the page (both are fine if they are done properly).

I don't think these additions will make the DayCare page too "stuffy", especially considering that there are much longer and thorough pages on the Wiki; length is not an issue, irrelevant pages repeating information, are. I also think so because breeding is the main aspect of the DayCare, there isn't much more to it than breeding. So it seems weird to me that it has its own page even though it completely belongs to the DayCare. --Uzumi (talk) 03:15, 22 August 2014 (BST)

Please don't call me "King", it's a pet peeve of mine. Anyways, I'm in full support of merging the pages. Uzumi seems to agrees with me, so it's two against one right now. I personally do not see a reason to keep Breeding separate. The information is redundant and is easily merged with Daycare, and length is not an issue (as stated above), an example being the BBCode and Public Forums pages. If there does come a need for a separate page (can't think why though) then we can simply remake this page, adding all of the required information.
In regards to "since breeding is actually a main aspect in the daycare": Until the information gathered for all contributing factors to a breeding pair, along with all breeding-related mechanics amounts to a reasonable amount, this page will be marked as redundant.
