The PFQ Discord Chat, simply known as Chat, is a network on PokéFarm that allows users to communicate with each other. In Chat, the Site Rules, with addition of Chat Rules, are enforced. It can be accessed through the link in the top right of the website, labeled as a Discord icon.

New users must complete the Tutorial to gain access to the Site Chat.

Chat Rules

The latest version is available here.

  1. The public chat is under a PG-13 guideline. Please behave appropriately with this in mind.
  2. As a general rule, please do not "@-mention" roles. If you need to call staff attention, you may use @Reports.
  3. No off-site links should be posted without seeking permission from a staff member.
    1. You may post links to the site (PokéFarm Q) without seeking permission.
    2. You can get the attention of the relevant staff by using @Reports - please only do this if needed.
  4. Please keep trade-talk to the #trading chat-area.
    1. Trades may only be posted in trade threads once every 24 hours.
      1. Deleting a post to re-post it before 24 hours have passed is not allowed.
    2. Trading here is still considered off-site.
      • Staff is unable to track edited or deleted messages - while it may be quick and easy to trade here, please note that it's not necessarily safe.
  5. Please do not flood the chat with consistent messages or spam. Avoid elongating your letters, and please do not use excessive caps. This includes deleting messages and re-posting the content that you deleted.
    1. Please try to avoid posts with less than three words consistently. This spams up the chatroom. Perhaps you would be able to express "congratulations" and "interesting" by posting an emoji.
  6. Users may post Pokémon in the #pokémon-showcase area (or parties, if your party is full of Pokémon you'd like to show off).
    1. Additionally, requesting clicks on said Pokémon users wish to show off is acceptable within reason.
  7. Please don't turn the chat into a roleplay room. This is not its intended design.
  8. Please avoid posting spoilers outside of the provided area.
  9. The #wiki-discussion channel is for discussing making changes to the wiki. Please do not ask questions there.
  10. While generic chatspeak such as "lol" and "omg" is allowed, using entirely chatspeak is not allowed.

Channels

The Channels section is on the Chat page's left side. PFQ has different channels for different things. For example, the #official-chat is PokéFarm Q's official chat room, whereas, the #pokemon-showcase is for showing off a user's Pokémon. Channels are separated into individual sections to help keep the channels organized and easy to find. Users may collapse each section, doing so will hide any channel that does not have a recent unread post.

At the top of each channel beside the name of the channel is a brief description and there are icons. Those icons are:

  • Threads: Never used. It is meant to help stay focused on a conversation with a temporary text channel.
  • Notification Settings: Allows users to set how often they would like to be notified or they can Mute a Channel for a set time.
  • Pinned Messages: Used to pin important posts. These posts are usually information based.
  • Show/Hide Member List: Allows users to show or hide the list of members.

Users Present

The Users Present section states the total number of users for each role. System Salamence is always present; staff members present can be found in order of the roles, similarly to the Staff Roster. Nitro Booster users are found underneath the staff. After that, all users present can be found in alphabetical order.
